My husband does it to hide his face as he has low self esteem thanks to an ex girlfriend of his......And as he was with her for so long he doesnt think that anyone else could possibly find him attractive, (even though i married him, weird thinking i know.) From what i learnt in my psychology classes though some do it to hide a secret too, or because they are dishonest.....there are other reasons as well but as i havent long woken up i cant think of them right now.

Because I prefer the way I look with it. Besides, it keeps my face warm in the winter. It takes a little extra work to maintain it, but I like it.

for regular guys, mostly because they are lazy and don't want o shave. And, honestly, it hurts sometimes. If you havent' done it in a while, your skin isn't used to it and cuts easy and the blades not only cut the hair but also pull it. As for me, I have worn some kind of uniform practically all of my life and always had to keep a clean shave. Now, that i do not HAVE TO shave, i let it grow 2-3 days before trimming it. Kinda making up for all the years i couldn't i guess.
